Aeroflot employees on strike with demand to raise salaries

MOSCOW, Jul 25 (PRIME) -- Employees of Russia’s largest airline Aeroflot have held a strike, demanding a salary increase, a spokesperson for the Sheremetyevo air staff trade union told PRIME on Tuesday.

“The entire protest march had the goal of a salary raise, and the main mottos and demands were ‘Bonuses for the chosen are not indexation for every Aeroflot employee,’ ‘Abide by Article 134 of the Labor Code and the Collective Employment Agreement,’ ‘Prices are growing – salaries must rise as well’,” the official said.

He also said that the authorities limited the number of participants to 20 people.
